Lisa Marie Houghton-Reade
Lisa graduated from the University of Warwick with an education studies degree in 2002 and a Masters in English in 2004. She then went onto research the best ways to teach Shakespeare’s plays to engage young people in the, for a Master of Philosophy degree at the University of Birmingham. With her severe visual impairment she is an access adviser to the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Hippodrome Theatre as an adviser in regards to improving their buildings and services for the disabled.
Lisa is passionately interested in making the arts accessible to all, regardless of background, age or disability. Her enjoyments are theatrical productions, mountain walking, visiting historic properties and horticulture and a passion for a variety of music.
