Håkan Vramsmo
Baritone
Born in Sweden, Håkan Vramsmo won a scholarship to the Guildhall School in 1999, having previously studied in Sweden, Amsterdam, France and Germany, winning top prizes at major international competitions including second prize at the Wigmore Hall and Stuttgart International Lieder Competitions. After graduating in 2001 he was immediately invited to sing at the opening night of the BBC Proms in Vaughan Williams' A Serenade to Music.
Håkan has performed at the Wigmore Hall, Bridgewater Hall, the Aldeburgh, Bath, Leamington and Newbury Spring Festivals and has appeared with the Gothenberg Symphony Orchestra, recorded for BBC Radio 3 and Stockholm Radio and given concerts in Dublin, Sweden, Denmark and France.
More recent engagements include a recital with Roger Vignoles in Santiago de Compostela, concerts at the Bath, King's Lynn and Exeter Festivals and with the Gabrieli Consort and Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra.
