Steven Folsom
Originally hailing form the US, Steven has now lived and worked in the UK for a number of years. He leads the West Midlands branch of the UK and EMEA Solution Centre, a company providing EDS with extensive expertise in all aspects of Applications Engineering. Prior to this Steve worked leading the UK Inland Revenue Solution Centre delivering and supporting all applications systems and services for the UK HM Inland Revenue and as Account Director for HM Prison Service.
Steve’s background lies in software engineering and technical leadership and has more latterly developed into management roles. He has held a number of consultancy and leadership posts within the Financial Services industry providing services to clients including American Express Bank, Midland Bank, Nat West Bank, Crédit Lyonnais, Shearson Lehman Brothers and James Capel. His work has involved extensive travel and he has lived in Saudi Arabia, UK, Mexico, Holland and Spain at various times.
Steve joined Orchestra of the Swan’s Board in April 2004 through the Arts and Business Board Bank service. Arts and Business is the world’s leading agency for developing arts and business partnerships and their Board Bank scheme is designed to enable arts organisations to benefit from unique skill sets developed by those working in business and industry.
Steve now lives in Worcestershire with his two children, Richard and Michael. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, scuba diving and sailing
