Orchestra of the Swan: Five ‘bare all’ in hit Channel 4 TV show
With nothing but a music stand and their instruments between them and a national television audience, five members of Stratford-upon-Avon’s critically acclaimed Orchestra of the Swan will appear this May in the new series of Channel 4’s hit fashion show ‘How To Look Good Naked’, presented by Gok Wan on Tuesday evenings at 8.00pm. read more

Orchestra of the Swan carries forth its commitment to commissioning new work with the world premiere of Broken Lute for solo alto flute, oboe and strings by Alexander Goehr on Tuesday 29 April at Town Hall Birmingham at 7.30pm. This Bach inspired programme, conducted by David Curtis, features his Toccata and Fugue in D Minor arranged by Steve Martland, Copland Nonet and Brandenburg Concerto No 3; a work which so clearly motivated Stravinsky to create his lively chamber concerto Dumbarton Oaks which concludes the concert. read more
