Friday 1st to Monday 4th May 2009
Civic Hall and Town Hall, Stratford-upon-Avon & Compton
Verney Art Gallery
, Warwickshire
Spring Sounds International Music Festival

Spring Sounds 2009 will be a celebration, with performances of the Sibelius violin concerto with Tasmin Little as soloist, the haunting Swan of Tuonela and other orchestral works by Grieg, Nelisen and Dag Wiren.

World premieres will include music Joseph Cutler and the UK’s leading Indian composer Param Vir.  This will be inspired by and performed at Compton Verney.  Param Vir works using graphic scores and we hope to display some of these aspects of his work, throwing light on his creative process.

Continuing our association with Roxanna Panufnik the programme also includes premieres of Tibetan Winter and Indian Summer for Tasmin and Orchestra of the Swan.

Full programme details will be announced in the Autumn.
